WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

Interacting with construction drawings and digital architectural files is fundamental in the construction and specification industry. Participants will gain insights into architectural plans, digital file formats such as AutoCAD and Revit, and the essential information contained within technical files.

WORKSHOP MODULES

  • Understanding different types of drawings: floor plans, site plans, details, sections, elevations, and schedules
  • General layout and organization of construction drawings
  • Interpretation of symbols and abbreviations commonly used in architectural plans
  • Practical tour of AutoCAD and Revit files: exploring file structures and components
  • Understanding the role of each file type in the construction process
  • Identifying key information contained within AutoCAD and Revit files
  • Understanding the information requirements in technical files
  • Role-play scenarios, applying knowledge of technical documentation in sales conversations
  • Best practices for leveraging technical documentation to enhance sales effectiveness

WORKSHOP DETAILS

Workshop duration is flexible from a 3-hour session to full day session – the choice is yours!

Instructor-led presentation of workshop material in Gauteng or MS Teams to 5 – 10 attendees per session.

Learner workbook provided with practical activities, further reading links, and YouTube links.

Certificate of completion will be issued to each participant after successful attendance of each course.

One month of free telephonic and or email support is provided to all successfull attendees of a course.
